February 17, 2011: Eva Capobianco's work has been exhibited in many local and regional galleries, including "State of the Art Gallery" in Ithaca; "Cedar Arts Center" in Corning; "Lower Manhattan Cultural Center" in NY. She has also had major installations in Philadelphia, PA, Staten Island,NY and Jamaica, NY.
Artist's Statement: Creating sculpture has been my passion for over thirty years. The work grows and changes over time, yet certain themes and images recur: combining natural and human-made objects; re-cycling and re-using found objects; finding connections between seemingly un-related elements; exploring layers. For me the creative path is a spiral. I revisit these same themes, but each time the angle is slightly different. Some of the more recent work also includes text to explore a political struggle close to my heart - gay marriage.

Great interview!
Loved this interview. It really provided much insight into Eva's wonderful, thought-and-emotion provoking work.
