Review of Back to School

I loved hearing this in the voices of the children as they look forward to their young adulthood. Their responses are intelligent, mature, and often humorous as they show that while middle school is before them, they still retain some of the enthusiasm of grade schoolers.

Review of Back to School

I like this piece a lot and I welcome Eve Abrams into the fold of radio producers. She has put together a thoughtful vox pop of kids and their thoughts, worries, fears, expectations about going back to school. The ending is a little jarring and needs a final statement or some ambience or music fading out to make it more of an ending. Right now it just stops. There is a great deal of hiss on the piece that can't be overlooked. It's a shame but this piece can't be broadcast because of the technical quality. If this hiss issue could be resolved, then it would be worth another listen and review.

Review of Back to School

I loved this piece. It's wonderful to hear from children themselves as they face this important transition in life. I loved the technique used in the ending. To me it underscores the idea of identity at a time when these children are beginning to explore who they can be when they have greater freedom, greater expectations, and greater capacity.
