Next, we have a program from the long-running “Kaleidoscope” radio series archive. “Kaleidoscope” aired for 40 years and was produced by Detroit radio mainstay Mike Whorf, who is now retired. This series archive of over one thousand shows is once again hitting the airwaves thanks to the Thomas & Erma Jean Tracy Family Foundation and Loyola Productions.

And now, here is ERIN GO BRAGH from the classic Mike Whorf series, “Kaleidoscope.”

[PROGRAM BREAKS] You’ve been listening to ERIN GO BRAGH from the classic Mike Whorf series, “Kaleidoscope.”

You’ve just heard a classic program from the long-running “Kaleidoscope” radio series, produced by Peabody Award-winning broadcaster Mike Whorf.

Mr. Whorf, now retired, began working in radio with the United States Air Force before moving on to commercial broadcasting, where he spent nearly forty years at station WJR in Detroit. There he developed his highly successful radio series, “Kaleidoscope.”

Thanks to the Thomas & Erma Jean Tracy Family Foundation, Mr. Whorf’s catalog of over one thousand hour-long programs now resides with Loyola Productions, where the master tapes are undergoing restoration and digital transfer, making them available to radio listeners once again.
