Sunday in the city.

Our Sunday in the city starts slowly. For us this last day together is truly a day of rest and it begins with a slow five minutes walk to The Engineer for breakfast. The Engineer Public House is imbedded deeply into an old town house whose renovations have only heightened the sixties history that hid the previous one hundred years. There may be many stories about the building but the pub is quiet, sleepily keeping its secrets to itself. We don’t mind. We are too lazy and relaxed for prying. The young wait-staff are kind and efficient and the barista makes the best cappachino in Primrose Hill. However spinach is not available this morning, so they offer field mushrooms instead.
