Swiss-born composer Ernest Bloch was first and foremost known around the world for his music, blending a variety of musical influences, including Jewish, Swiss, and Native American. In later years, Bloch lived on the Oregon coast, and was inspired by its natural beauty. Bloch’s works are still being performed to this day. Bloch was well known for his music, but people may not know that he was also an avid amateur photographer. Stage& Studio Producer Tali Singer with Editor Dmae Roberts presents a feature story about Bloch, whose photographs are being showcased at the Oregon Jewish Museum. We'll hear from Ernie Bloch, the grandson of Ernest Bloch, as well as Curator Eric Johnson, Museum Director Judith Margles and Ron Blessinger of Third Angle Music Ensemble in Portland, OR.
