January 20, 2011: Hubberman is a social entrepreneur. In 1997 she helped to found the Family Reading Partnership, and continues to serve as executive director. Brigid believes the work of the Family Reading Partnership really is going to change the world- one book, one child, one family, and one community at a time- and that connecting families and children with the joy and power of books is one of the most important social action causes of our time.
Family Reading Partnership began as a community-based coalition that has joined forces with virtually every sector of the community with a shared vision for creating a culture of literacy.
