Before an audience at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, host Suzanne Kryder talks with meditation teacher Eric Kolvig, Ph.D. about coping with inner conflict, in light of terrorist attacks and war, and in everyday life. Kolvig, a victim of post-traumatic stress syndrome, talks about how 9-11 brought back PTSD symptoms. He offers perspectives and techniques, some drawn from Buddhism, that he believes can help people deal with the turmoil and conflict that comes from fear and from the hectic pace of everyday life. This is a half-hour version of a one-hour program which premiered as part of the Public Radio Collaboration in 2002.
