You’ve heard me say it before but I’m going to say it again. You have your commonplace every day type crime in Hartford and Boston but it is not the unique one-of-a kind Guinness Book of World Records type of crime we have here in Maine. Take, for example, this report of a bank robbery from yesterday’s newspaper: Police are searching for a white, 6 foot 3 suspect weighing approximately 250 pounds, thirty to forty years old, wearing a blue T-shirt, jeans and a Red Sox baseball cap. The robber, who walked into a bank at 11 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money, had not been arrested by sundown. The bank manager said that the robber took a substantial amount of money and drove off in a black ford with Maine plates. A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to her arrest.
