life” might help you think through your sex life?
Your answer, I suspect, is, Are you kidding? Yet students at several community colleges around the country are tackling topics like these in courses such as psychology, English and math. It’s part of an experiment to see if discussions and writing assignments about sex can help students make good sexual decisions.
I’m Laura Sessions Stepp, and this is Sex Really. I recently dropped by such a class at Montgomery College, near Washington D.C.
Assistant Professor Dan Jenkins and his philosophy students were discussing a New Yorker article entitled “Red Sex, Blue Sex.” The piece looks at how teens’ opinions on sexual abstinence differ in liberal versus conservative states.
