This week on the Needle Drop, we've got the new Extra Lens album, Undercard. It's an album of simple songs about complicated situations. The project has been renamed and rekindled by its founders, John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats and Frank Bruno of Nothing Painted Blue. This is their first LP in eight years.
We've also got new tracks from one of the darkest dance albums 2010 has to offer: Matthew Dear's Black City. Come for the beats, stay for the eerie, deadpan vocals.
