Your listeners will NOT want to miss this! "The Cartoon Carnival Halloween Spooktacular II" is a fun TWO-HOUR special program fully produced with great acting, sound effects, stereo panning effects and music. This is radio theater at it's best.
Guest host Wilfred Graves returns for a second year to present this NEW two-hour special, which features producer JOE BEVILACQUA (Joe Bev.) and wife LORIE KELLOGG performing all the characters in the brand new production of the radio play "A Halloween Happening" by Daws Butler.
They also perform "A Different Take on Halloween" a Spanish Fairy Tale by Pedro Pablo Sancristan, translated into English.
In the second hour, Bev. and Kellogg perform all the voices in the first new Harold Peary ("The Great Gildersleve") story since 1950: "The Attack of the Creepy Crawly Things from Outer Space".
Along the way, "Graves" springles in audio from classic SPOOKY animatted cartoons, including:
June Foray as Witch Hazel and Clarence Nash as Donald Duck in the Disney cartoon "Trick or Treat" (1952), June Foray as Witch Hazel and Mel Blanc as Bugs Bunny in the Warner Brother's cartoon "A Witch's Tangled Hare" (1959), Cecil Roy, Jackson Beck, Jack Mercer and Allen Swift in the Paramount Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoon "Boo Moon" (1952), Chris Allen, Bill Scott, Hans Conried, and Paul Frees in Jay Ward's "Hoppity Hooper" fights ghosts (1965)...
The show "OFFICIALLY" ends in the fourth segment with the novelty song "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the "famous" Waterlogg Productions logo.
But there are additional Spanish Fairy Tale by Pedro Pablo Sancristan, translated into English, each in their own segment, which you can choose to play or not. They are:
"The Evil Goblins," "The Monster in the Wardrobe," and "Waking Nightmare". These three short segments can also be used as programming filler and to promote the special leading up to its broadcast.
