SUGGESTED HOST INTRO
The price of concert tickets can be daunting, but conductor Mark Elder says there’s an even bigger obstacle to the concert going experience.  It’s those unwritten and often mysterious rules we’re expected to follow in the concert hall.

Mark Elder Clip:
“To me, it’s very important because it’s to do with keeping people away.  The idea that an audience at a symphony concert have been allowed in to act as voyeurs at some strange rite where people dress in strange outdated clothes and play very sophisticated music and you’ve got to be very clever and concentrate very hard and please don’t cough and certainly don’t clap in the middle.  This is all horror to me.”

SUGGESTED HOST OUTRO
Conductor Mark Elder – he’s doing his part to make sure the world knows that classical music is for everyone.  (What are your feelings about concert rituals – are they important, or are they out of date?)  Here’s Mark Elder with the Halle (Hall-leh) Orchestra (insert music title and composer).
