Jeff Guidry is a volunteer at the Sarvey Wildlife Center in Arlington, Washington. He takes care of a bald eagle named Freedom. For the past 12 years, Jeff has taken Freedom around to schools, wearing a thick falconry glove as Freedom perches on his arm. As her name suggests, Freedom looks like a classic, iconic bald eagle. But there's something different about her. She's never been able to fly. Jeff Guidry tells KUOW's Jeremy Richards how he first helped rescue Freedom when she was a baby — and how Freedom returned the favor.
