Public radio's weekly jazz, blues and comedy jam, 12th Street Jump celebrates America's original art form, live from one of its birthplaces-- 12th Street in Kansas City. It’s where cool cats and crazy little women first dug the sounds of Count Basie, Charlie Parker, Big Joe Turner and all the Kansas City jazz legends. Hosts Pearl McDonald and Pete Weber offer up weekly hour long helpings of topical sketch comedy along with some great live jazz and blues from the 12SJ band (musical director Joe Cartwright, Tyrone Clark and Mike Warren) and vocalists David Basse and Nedra Dixon. Special guests join the fun every week down at the 12 Street Jump.
