Default-piece-image-1 I've been holding onto this audio for a long time. These are Sandy's stories. Sandy is not her real name. I met Sandy when I was working as an interviewer for crossroad's community organizing project. Crossroads interviewed hundreds of people living in Portland's homeless community and Sandy was one of the people we talked to. None of the narratives I've posted here are about being homeless; they're about Sandy's life. We spoke for about three hours, but it didn't take long for me to discover her incredible ability to tell stories- both funny and overwhelmingly sad. This interview was conducted in a small room with a buzzing computer in the background. The sound is not perfect, but I think the stories are still worth hearing.

Review of Sandy's Story: County Fair

Sandy and her husband go to the county fair, experience carnie life up close and personal and a lesson is learned. That pretty much sums up Sandy's story. She is a good story teller during this minute and a half.
This story piqued my interest about Sandy, but I want to know more.
Did she ever take advantage of people again?
Did her husband have the same experience?
What's she doing now?
