'Every Little Curve In The Road' is an in-depth interview with musician Stuart Mason about the strange pathways music has taken him down throughout his life. His main gig is as the guitarist for dynamic Celtic band Molly's Revenge, but Mason's long and varied career embraces bluegrass, Old Time and Irish music, and covers territory from the mountains of West Virginia to the beaches of Maui. He is the proud owner of a banjo carved like a steelhead trout, and in this interview he talks about hellbenders, lullabies, and what it takes to make a living as a musician.

Every Little Curve in the Road – Profile of Musician Stuart Mason

MUSIC: The Devil’s Box – Stuart Mason

SUSAN O’LEARY: In some ways, Stuart Mason is your typical modern musician – he’s the guitarist for the popular Celtic band Molly’s Revenge - in addition to that, he performs with other bands, writes a music blog, hosts a weekly music showcase at a local wine bar, runs his own graphic and web design company, and frequently sets up his own music festivals and special events. All this in order to make a living. What’s not so typical about Mason is what you hear when he plays.

MUSIC: The Devil’s Box – Stuart Mason

SUSAN O’LEARY: You might be forgiven for thinking he came straight out of the Appalachians, swigging moonshine and toting a banjo like it was an extra limb. Something like 80 years ago.
