I went with Jack
To fetch went we
Though arms and legs
I did not need.
This is a riddle about a bucket. The riddle is told in the first person, from the bucket's perspective. And the Jack referred to is, of course, the Jack from Jack and Jill. But the way the riddle is phrased, you expect that Jack is accompanied by someone, not something. And you're left scratching your head wondering who it is that fetches without arms and legs.
