Piece Description

Sylvia Robinson is a major influence on soul, disco and hip hop. Co-founder of Sugarhill Records, she orchestrated the historical Sugarhill Gang as well as scoring hits with 1972’s Pillow Talk and as part of the duo Mickey and Sylvia in the 1950’s. She is also credited for penning hits by Ike and Tina Turner, The Moments, and others.
