Frog Eyes is a Canadian outfit with an extremely distinctive lead singer, Carey Mercer. Carey’s vocals are thunderous, and shatter all preconceived notions of the stereotypical indie rock frontman. The song structures break quite a few rules, too. The band’s new LP is Paul’s Tomb: A Triumph, and we’ve got a few tracks from it.
We’ve also got new tracks from the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Dokkemand, and two new ones from Wolf Parade; plus, a deep listen into the new Flying Lotus album, Cosmogramma. This LP is cerebral trip through a hip hop-infused mix of jazz, dubstep, techno, and pop.
