Piece Description
Known for her journalistic investigations in the 1980s into stories about El Salvadoran refugees, Demetria Martinez is a fearless writer. Winner of the 2006 International Latino Book Award for her collection of essays and poems called CONFESSIONS OF A BERLITZ-TAPE CHICANA. Demetria Martinez shares some of her stories about her life and reads both poetry and prose from this book.
