Rugged and Beautiful

From Salt Institute for Documentary Studies | 00:07:01
Producers: Emily Sapienza

Tone-sentimental-00
Visit with two female WWII Liberty Ship welders from South Portland, Maine.

Tools in hand, steel toed boots on their feet, Mildred Santamaa and Dorothy Stone built cargo ships during WWII. But don't confuse them with Rosie the Riveter. These ladies are far tougher. Produced by Emily Sapienza.

Review of Rugged and Beautiful

Great story, I liked it. Learned something, about those days and times. Some great back ground music, from the time period.
Good stereo sound effect, with the voices.
