The six weeks between January 15th and February 25th is recognized on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus as Civil Rights Month. During this time, a number of events advocating social change, reflecting past civil rights movements and demonstrating the effectiveness of social progress, are held for the student and public population to attend and participate in. One of these events includes the celebration of Elizabeth Peratrovich Day. KRUA reporter Cameron Mackey reports.
