SRP: Thoughts on the April 2010 Sudanese National Elections
From: Sudan Radio Project
Length: 00:05:17
For the past few months, the eyes and ears of politicians, NGOs, and the media have been focused on Sudan as the country's national elections near. These elections will define not only the relationship between the international community and Sudan, but also the long-term political and social stability of the country. Sudanese people and foreign observers alike are hoping for a democratic election that will help unite Sudan and prthaps put an end to the violence in Darfur. To many Sudanese, however, the prospect of a democratic election is still far off even though the elections are just around the corner. Emma Ambrose reports.
