"You know, it's very interesting that the English language contains no word for the German 'schvung,' the French 'elan.' When we want to say what those words mean, we use those words. 'Come on! Play it with a bit more schvung,' I often say. And of course what it means, it's this devil-may-care, 'going for it' is another phrase we say, but we don't have a word. Isn't that interesting? I wonder why not?"
