Chuckaroo_small For almost five years Chuckaroo The Buckaroo, aka Charley Engel, has brought the epic Western landscape and its all of its colorful inhabitants to listeners during his 2-hour weekly radio show, Calling All Cowboys. These are the songs, stories and poems of the real westeners: cattle barrons, cowboys, 49ers, gamblers, trappers, explorers, railroaders, soiled doves, chinamen, native Americans, preachers, hunters, gunslingers and lawmen. Presented with humor as well as pathos, Chuckaroo spins songs covering a wide range of topics in a number of musical styles under the umbrella of "western music" that encompass folk, blues, jazz, swing, and rock n' roll.

Or as a 2-hour show that fills an entire 2-hours with breaks appox. 20 minutes apart.

If you are not following the NPR Special Programming Clock, CAC should start at the top of the hour and run a full 118-119 minutes.

If you are following the NPR Special Programming Clock, CAC should start at 6:30 past the hour with news proceeding. Then just chop off the last songs to fill out to 118-119 minutes total length. CAC follows the NPR Special Programming Clock fairly closely for Hour No. 1. The second hour does not have the 6:30 newsbreak/music beds of hour 1 but otherwise has the same music beds as the first hour.
