Godspolitics_small Part One: GOD?S POLITICS! Both patriotism and religion are being misused for the sake of political leverage. The dividing line separating the territories of government and religious practice, protected by our constitution has become porous and Christianity in particular, is cynically being exploited by politicians and their backers. An Evangelical Christian, founder and editor-in-chief of Sojourners Magazine, Jim Wallis recently published New York Times best-selling book, God?s Politics; Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn?t Get It. In 1990 he was sent to el Salvador to replace one of 6 Jesuit priests murdered there just the year prior. During a visit to Maryknoll, Dean Brackley spoke with Kathy Golden.
