Chicago based artist, poet, actor and playwright Tony Fitzpatrick has a resume that is expansive to say the least. His many works as a visual artist hang in major museums across the US, grace the album covers of various artists (including Lou Reed, The Neville Brothers, and Steve Earle) and are owned by no less prominent a figure than President Obama. He has authored several books of art and poetry, and can be seen in films such as Philadelphia and Primal Fear.
Fitzpatrick sat down to talk with KUT producer Rebecca McInroy in 2009, and this short piece offers a glimpse into the life of this unique and inspirational artist.
