Youth producer Dolna Smithback spent a week with the Global Youth Leadership Institute (GYLI) in July of 2009.  Smithback traveled with another youth producer and the director of Youth Media Project  to Mystic Connecticut. There she documented the year one of the GYLI, aboard the Amsted Schooner.  After getting to know the 40 or so 15 year-old students, Smithback became intrigued by the many different ethnic backgrounds of all of the students.  Smithback documented the students journey throughout the week long leadership training program.
