Part One:     SISTERS TO SISTERS    Close to 1/3rd of the world's women are currently homeless or live in inadequate housing.  Worldwide, women, many with children are the worst affected by domestic violence, civil conflicts, forced evictions and slum clearances.  Not long after Maryknoll Sister Marvelous Misolas arrived in Taiwan's Taichung City in 1998, she became aware of the homeless problem there and especially the plight of homeless women.

In 2003 Sister Marvie founded The Good Samaritan Welcome Center, a Shelter and drop-in center for the homeless women of Taichung.  Please join us today as we visit the Good Samaritan Welcome Center and talk with Marvie Misolas and her fellow Maryknoll Sister, Mary Ellen "Molly" Mertens.

Part Two:     SISTERS TO SISTERS    Most weekday mornings Sister Marvie and other members of the Good Samaritan staff wander the train station and parks of Taichung City looking for homeless women and offering them help.  Sister Molly Mertens joined Marvie over a year ago and together they live-out their commitment to these homeless women daily, visiting them, bringing box lunches and other gifts of food.  We return to our conversation with Sisters Marvie Misolas and Molly Mertens.
