Gives passage 'cross the barren lands.

This riddle is about a camel.   An Arabic term for camel is safina a sah-rah, which translates sailboat of the desert.   It's a beautiful word-picture that lends itself well to a riddle.  Although camels aren't wind-powered, they've been carrying passengers over rippled oceans of desert sand for thousands of years.
