Piece Description

We drop in on Thanksgiving dinner and see the service a soup kitchen can provide to a community on this holiday.

Intro and Outro

INTRO:

For many, the holidays are a time to give back to society. Soup kitchens are often the recipients of this good will. Each Thanksgiving, the Trinity Jubilee Center in Lewsiton, Maine is flooded with volunteers to help serve the meal. As it turns out, the day is almost more for the volunteers than the clients they’re serving. Producer Marian Matthews has the story.
