Piece Description
Sixteen year old Kate Nulle spent most of her Summer weekends in 2009, firing a gun or a cannon at a war reenactment. In this story, she stages a train robbery on a tourist train in Portland, Maine. She's joined by her dad, Chris, and the rest of their Southern Maine-based, confederate civil war reenacting group--the 15th Alabama.

INTRO:CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR REENACTORS, IN MAINE? THE 15TH ALABAMA IS THE LARGEST CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR REENACTING GROUP IN THE STATE. IN ADDITION TO TYPICAL REENACTMENTS, THEY STAGE A TRAIN ROBBERY AT THE NARROW GAUGE RAILROAD IN PORTLAND, A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR. ONE OF THEIR MEMBERS IS SIXTEEN YEAR OLD KATE NULLE. KATE’S BEEN REENACTING ALONGSIDE HER FATHER, CHRIS, SINCE SHE WAS IN FIFTH GRADE. INDEPENDENT PRODUCER LAURA HERBERG HAS THEIR STORY.

Bravo!
I learned a lot about something that I've really not paid much attention to, up until now. Nice job splicing all of the pieces together - it flowed really well! I look forward to listening to more pieces like this.
