Summary: This past November, Maine voters repealed a law legalizing gay marriage. Supporters on both sides of the issue were backed by strong religious contingents.
This piece helped illuminate what a gay couple must go through in order to feel recoginzed and validated today. How uncanny it is that we still do not recognize these valuable people as a wonderful, brave, intelligent extension of our society and who can teach us much about love, being a couple, a family, and being married.
