Electronic music producer, Roland Sebastian Faber, better known for his production work as Kinky Roland has released his third EP, Gropiusstadt, on the Düsseldorf label, Aube.
Influenced by the work of Klaus Schulze and Pink Floyd, Faber creates music with analogue synthesizers. Some of the best elements of his music are his key changes, the subtle use of ‘sound effects’ to enhance the atmosphere, and his ability to keep the listener engaged in a progressive musical experience.
Besides electronic music, the Aube label is also known for its close association with German visual artists, Emil Schult - who designed covers for Kraftwerk - and Marc Brandenburg, whose photo-realistic pencil drawings are held in galleries around the world, the MOMA in New York included.
