Today we're talking about big ideas and big change.
First we'll talk with Tim Brown, CEO of the design firm IDEO. His new book,
Change By Design, shows how the techniques and strategies of design are
valuable in most any endeavor. Tim will tell us how to use "Design
Thinking" to approach a whole host of challenges -- including those in
cities.
And...from World War 2, to the moon landing, America has a long history of
great achievements. And yet. it seems we have lost faith in the ability of
government to get things done. We'll talk with William Eggers and John
O'Leary about their new book "If We Can Put A Man On the Moon" and what gets
in the way of getting big things done in government.
