:00 [Archival Tape] [tape hiss sneaks under the host] Fred Jr. says: “Well, good evening everybody, welcome to the rabbit hutch, here in beautiful downtown Logan, Alabama. I hope everybody’s enjoying their food, we’ve got a special treat for you. Ann Venz coming up here for you. If everybody you would, lets give a nice, warm, Rabbit Hutch reception for Ms. Ann Venz.” [applause fades under]
:15 Ann: I am Ann Venz. My husband is Fred Venz Senior, and we opened the Rabbit Hutch Restaurant and ran it for 16 years.
:23 Customer (Stewart): I’m Stewart Jackson, and …
:25 Customer (Reggie): And I’m Reggie Holder.
:26 Customer (Stewart): It was a small place. I remember the organ and the cash register seemed to be right next to each other (laughs)
:31 Customer (Reggie): She cooked the rabbit. And then he served it. And then she made her way to this … hamilton or wurlitzer organ....
