A study sponsored by AARP and Microsoft- "Boomers and Technology: An Extended Conversation"- set out to determine exactly where Boomers stand.
The study was overseen by Michael Rogers- a so-called "futurist." In this edition of Prime Time Radio, Rogers joins host Mike Cuthbert to discuss his findings.
Then … Listening to certain types of music has been shown to lower blood pressure, relieve depression, stabilize blood pressure and even lessen the need for sedatives and pain killers during and after surgery.
Dr. Joanne Loewy is at the forefront of practicing music therapy and investigating its benefits.
She directs The Louis Armstrong Department of Music Therapy at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and has edited two books on music therapy, “Music Therapy in Pediatric Pain” and “Music Therapy in the NICU.”
This wide-ranging conversation with Prime Time Radio host Mike Cuthbert covers how music therapy started to gain acceptance in medical circles, how it can benefit patients with heart disease and much more.
