A Crosby Christmas is culled from rare radio and television Christmas broadcasts starring The Voice of Christmas...Bing Crosby! No vocalist in the annals of show business has ever had quite the emotional impact during this season like Bing Crosby. Begining on his weekly network radio programs, Bing Crosby conveyed the warmth and sentiment of the holiday season like no other performer. His Christmas specials became commonplace each year on television from the 50's through the year of Bing's passing, 1977.
On record, Bing Crosby's Christmas recordings became instant classics. Today, his Christmas catalog for Decca, Capitol, Warner Brothers and Reprise continue in demand by audiences in the digital age of Mp3 downloads and CD's. Like Christmas, Bing Crosby is timeless...a national treasure.
On this one hour special, Bing is joined in duets by friends like Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Danny Kaye, Ella Fitzgerald...even David Bowie! A Crosby Christmas captures the essence Bing at this joyous time of year from digitally restored radio broadcasts and commercial recordings made during his stellar career.
This is radio that rekindles warm holiday memories and helps create new ones for your listeners.

Great Crosby Memories, and Songs New To Me
This is a great collection of Christmas music done by Bing Crosby, friends and family. The old standards are there -- what would yuletide be without Bing singing "White Christmas" one more time. There are several pieces from the Crosby sons that I had never heard before. And there are some familiar songs with an interesting twist -- check out Ella Fitzgerald's take on "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".
This program was run on my local Public Radio station (KPBX in Spokane). It was such a delight I had to hear it again, and so I found Public Radio Exchange, a gold mine of interesting radio! I have found several hundred hours of programs I want to listen to. So much listening, so little time...
