This story by Adam Goddard, a Toronto-based composer, is a celebration of
the life and character of his grandfather, a farmer in rural Ontario.
The Change in Farming won the 1999 Prix Italia for Best Cultural Radio
Documentary of the Year and the Premios Ondas International Radio award in
Spain.

Review of The Change In FarmingWow! I had expected a short documentary about the changes in farming and instead I heard a unique musical and literary piece. Goddard hears people's voices as musical notes on a scale. He heard musical notes in his 89 year old grandfather's spoken words and turned them into a melody about the change in farming. The underlying beauty of this piece is the relationship between Goddard and his grandfather. This is a creative way to document personal histories. Wonderfully done. |

Review of The Change In Farming
i think this piece is fantastic the foundation for this peice is the warm releationship between Adam and his grandfather i truely enjoy this old people do talk alot and what better way to listen than do a remix i thurealy enjoy this peice the more i listen to it the better it gets oh and adam if you ever read this keep it up this is very good stuff thanx and i hope you enjoy it
