Piece Description

For years, Chicago drummer Vimont Brogsdale has lugged a drum kit out to Chicago's Michigan Avenue to play for the people and earn a few bucks. But, most of all, he does it for himself and his love of jazz.

This piece was produced for the Third Coast Festival's "Sound Drops" project, which invited producers from Chicago and elsewhere to produce short audio works that conjured Chicago through sound, story, and imagination.
