Piece Description
For 40 years, photographer Macduff Everton has been documenting the Maya of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. In his book "The Modern Maya" he tells the stories of a people and a culture in transition.
As a young man, Macduff and his close friend Charles Demangate spent several years as members of Circo Magico Modelo, a family circus that tours the villages and towns of the region. The two sat with producer Diane Bock to share their tales of life with the circus.
