From: Mike Sanders
Length: 00:57:00

Bq_sam_carr_prx_small Truly an American musical treasure, Sam Carr was once quoted as saying, "I lived a rich man's life in a poor man's shoes." That was Sam's way of saying he almost became famous.  Carr ended up traveling the world playing his special form of Delta music, but always lived in one of the poorest parts of the world--the Mississippi Delta.

Let Sam share his story and music with your listeners in this hour-long documentary in which he talks about hard times picking cotton, to his first recording at Sam Phillips's Sun Studio in Memphis and his contributions to American music.

The total length of the show's three parts is 57:00.  It is designed to have two
1:00 internal breaks and one 1:00 end break.  However, you can let the three tracks roll, leaving a 3:00 end break.

The promo includes a sound cut from the artist and has at least :05 music at end for local tag.  E-mail for custom tag.
