The Sculpture This story is told by Dick, VP of Sales, from the local bakery.
Dick has been disillusion by the previous Christmas. His family, his wife and three children were not satisfied with gifts and the amount of money spent on them.
The setting of his story is Dick talking to the seller of the flour that the bakery uses. Dick sees an ugly sculpture on the man’s desk. The seller of flour tells Dick, “I spent over a thousand her and more on the kids. This was the only thing, I got for Christmas last year.....ugly isn’t it. I had to bring to the office because I couldn’t hide it at home.” The seller explains that his wife is been blind and the history of their relationship. The seller is about to promoted to President of the company but he is leaving the firm in a couple of months.
He explains to Dick. One day while looking at this ugly sculpture, I discovered all she had and was giving me. I was spending between 10 and 12 at the plant.
She help me with this object discover the real meaning of Christmas and giving every day to the one, I love and care about.
