The Gift
The Gift - Doc Watts appears one day catching his patients doing all the vices, he told them not to do. Doc Watts is not a visitor to the Smoke House but he has a story to tell these of how a young man has given him a new perspective and given him a fresh start in life.
Doc Watts tells of the mentor that was to follow him in his practice. He tells of how he had given and taught this young man and how this young person had the ‘gift’ of giving to his patient as he instructed him in the art of medicine. He informs the men around the pot bellied stove of the agony when this young man was fatally injured and how this person ‘gave’ in his death.
