- Prime Time Radio
New Zealanders start receiving a state pension at age 65, but they can also save money for retirement through KiwiSaver, which all Kiwis- the nickname for New Zealanders- are automatically enrolled in when they start a job. New Zealand’s Retirement Commissioner, Diana Crossan, joins us to talk about the program, the effort to help New Zealanders of all ages be better stewards of their money, and the little mouse that helped to jumpstart the movement.
Then … Asha Praver began practicing yoga 40 years ago, well before versions of the ancient practice became a trendy activity around the country. She encountered her teacher, Swami Kriyananda, in 1969 and was an original member of his intentional community, Ananda Village, in California, before starting Ananda Palo Alto, also in California, with her husband, David. Listen as Praver describes the healing power of yoga and the best approaches for beginners.
