Zorayoung_small From the moment Chicago blues singer Zora Yound first arrived in France on a tour in 1981, it was clear that she would always be welcome there. She's toured in France more than twenty times since then, and her new album "The French Connection" was recorded there, both in a studio, and in live performance. Pianist-guitarist, and band leader Bobby Dirninger put together three different French bands who accompany Zora on various songs on the album. Zora Young covers a number of Chicago blues standards, offering her own interpretative skills to them, and she has novel approaches and selections, including "In The Ghetto," that may surprise blues listeners.
