There is much debate amongst Christians in America about how to celebrate halloween. Increasingly churches are providing alternatives such as Trunk or Treating. Does it take the fun or the fright out of halloween? Read the full description.

This Halloween, tiny witches and vampires will take to the neighborhoods of America demanding candy and threatening tricks. They’ll brave long driveways with spooky sound effects and polyester cobwebbed porches and run screaming from adults dressed as horror movie characters or zombies or pirates. It’s a thrilling and scary night to be a kid in America, and some would argue it’s a scary night to be a parent too.  So some Christian groups are increasingly creating alternatives to keep their kids safe and provide activities more in line with their faith. But does taking the fright out of halloween mean taking the fun out too?
