Transatlantic Music Box Vol 1

From: Radijojo World Children's Radio Network
Length: 00:29:59

Open the box and see what metamorphoses. If kids put together a music show from their very own perspective, the outcome will mostly be somewhat unexpected and slightly more instinctive than an adult's choice. "The Transatlantic music box volume 1", is the first in a series of eclectic music treats compiled by kids, for kids. The show ranges from interviews with Patti Smith (the American rock legend) and Peter Fox (the German rock/reggae artist), to an intriguing podcast about a "Rock school for girls" in Portland. World music from Europe to New York and much much more! Read the full description.

Music Box Vol 1 is a Music show featuring music, reports interviews etc. There's an exclusive interview with the American rock legend Patti Smith, as well as a song of hers. Also, an exclusive interview with Peter Fox - the German musician who is mixing Jamaican and European music styles, with socially intelligent, critical, texts about life in Germany. You can hear music from Peter Fox's band Seeed. There's also a song from the New York based music teacher and singer Marla Lewis. Enjoy the self-written songs from children from "Kleistpark kindergarden" and "KIZ youth center" in Berlin. Another highlight is the song „Children are the future“ by Nick and Sidikie – who are both great African musicians. We have a riveting podcast from  Portland, OR about a „rock school for girls“ and last but not least „the tales of 2 Lillie's": with songs from Lillie from Chicago 3 years old and Lilly from Berlin who was not even 2 years old when she recorded her "greatest hits medley".
