Sitting and sipping at the Universal Film studios cafe, Los Angeles.
At a mere eighty seven years old The Universal Film Studio lot is now physically a mile long and half a mile deep. Lying in the heart of Hollywood it is made up of kingdoms within kingdoms guarded by gates within gates who are manned by men who have grown old sitting in their booths. Apart from the plastic photo id cards a cheery good morning and a wave are needed in order to pass through the gates of their memories and, after death, earn a fond and respectful remembrance from these gatekeepers of history.
