In her poem “The Foretelling,” Jody Zorgdrager recounts how she discovered a disconcerting talent for sensing things that others couldn’t. Literary producer Elizabeth Austen reflects on the dilemma of what to do with those innate abilities discovered in childhood, once we become grown-ups.
Jody Zorgdrager received her M.F.A. in creative writing from Warren Wilson, and has worked as a third-grade teacher, substance-abuse counselor, adjunct college instructor and data specialist. She has lived in Seattle for the past 10 years.
